Sussex potters meet regularly to watch a large selection of professional potters give us a slide show, an informative talk, usually with practical demonstrations and they often bring a selection of their work to study, handle and purchase. We provide refreshments  of tea or coffee and biscuits in the middle giving a chance to walk around and speak to the other members or the speaker. 

Many of us are practising potters, some are non-makers but just ceramic enthusiasts and we are always willing to help each other out and offer advice and support.  We cover a wide area of the Sussex weald so please let us know if you would like a lift for travelling to either of the venues in Uckfield or Lewes.

The raku events are always hugely popular with members bringing 3 small bisque fired items to be glazed and fired in the groups raku kiln with everybody taking part in loading, stacking, emptying and putting into sawdust and scrubbing off the work in water afterwards.  Members usually bring their own packed lunch, sit and chat and enjoy the rural, scenic venue provided by a committee member's family in Blackyboys.
